Assessment Module

Objective and Purpose:

Design Module

Objective and Purpose:

To conceptualize and shape a design for the purpose of developing a “Proof of Concept” (POC) of the "To-Be" state.

Scope

Deliverables

The following items will be established to conceptualize and shape a design*:

  • Design objectives
  • Performance benchmarks
  • Target performance measures: KPIs
  • Process attributes and specifications: volumes, locations, roles involved, cycle times, decisions, tasks
  • A conceptual design(s)
  • How the proposed solution will resolve the problem
  • Critical Success Factors (CSFs)
  • Required changes to the “As- Is” processes, workflows and corresponding tasks
  • Customer needs confirmation
  • Proposed business processes - "To-Be" state
  • Manual processes that will be automated
  • Data that will measure the design’s effectiveness  
  • Provision for a prototype(s)
  • Develop use cases
  • Development costs

  • A project plan

Modelling Module

Objective and Purpose:

To simulate the proposed solution for the purpose of evaluating the effectiveness of the design.

Scope

Deliverables

The following data based activities will be performed to simulate the proposed solution*:


  • Creation  of "What -If" scenarios (Models)
  • Setting of acceptable thresholds and tolerances:     "Go / No Go" criteria
  • Conduct simulations
  • Measure KPIs: throughput, time cycles, cost, errors, waste
  • Impact  / Risk assessments on business: stakeholders, processes and technology
  • Qualitative assessments
  • Factor in organisational complexities
  • Performance validation
  • Benchmarking to established standards
  • Adjustments to the proposed design
  • Process capability calibrations
  • Business case in support of the proposed concept

Implementation Module

Objective and Purpose:

To prepare the organisation for change for the purpose of enabling the transition to the new state.

Scope

Deliverables

The following activities will be performed to prepare the organisation for change*:

  • Evaluate, prepare and execute a transition method(s)
  • Prepare and deploy an Implementation Plan
  • Prepare and deploy a comprehensive Change Management Plan
  • Prepare and deploy a Disruption Contingency Plan
  • Prepare and deploy a Work Transition Plan
  • Prepare and continuously update a Rollback Plan
  • Set-up transition team
  • Obtain management's acceptance and sign-off
  • Deploy use cases developed
  • Obtain user acceptance on proposed model
  • Make changes to job descriptions
  • Communicate and coordinate transition with customers and vendors

Objective and Purpose:

To monitor process performance for the purpose of measuring post implementation effectiveness of changes made.

Scope

The following activities are performed to monitor process performance*:

  • Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) acceptable thresholds and tolerances (quantitative data)
  • Identify qualitative measures and sources
  • Develop and deploy a monitoring and reporting strategy
  • Develop and deploy a continuous monitoring and reporting system (data collection, analysis and reporting)
  • Develop and deploy an issue management system (IMS) error detection, troubleshooting, problem determination, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions process
  • Develop and deploy process accountability matrix

To optimise the process for the purpose of reducing cost, improve efficiency, drive value to customers, increase profitability, reduce errors and eliminate waste.

Scope

The following activities are performed to optimise the process*:

  • Define process scope change
  • Establish and confirm process ownership
  • Confirm data validity and reliability
  • Revisit the business case
  • Prepare the business case for modification
  • Prepare and execute a modification plan
  • Model the modification proposed
  • Prepare contingency plans
  • Internally coordinate and communicate proposed changes: IT, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Operations, Procurement,
  • Connect and coordinate with customers and vendors
